So....here I am, a girl of varied interests at a bit of a crossroads in her life.....
I decided to start this blog because I have an awful lot to say about certain subjects and I needed a platform and more of a creative outlet in my life.
You see, I had a baby about 4 months ago and she is just the light of my life. A few months prior, I lost my job as an admissions adviser for a career college, and something about that loss made me feel as if it was truly time to move on and pursue my passions. I figured with all these major life changes, why not add another?
The title of this blog is "running shoes, food comas, and skinny jeans", which I'm sure you've figured out if you're here reading this. I am a super avid runner and triathlete, so I love the suffering and accomplishment that comes along with that. I am also a recent recipient of a B.S. in Nutrition and feeding people has always been a love of mine. I am devoted to the chopping, stirring and seasoning and care that goes into a well made meal, but I want to present it in a healthier way. In my opinion, you should be able to have your foie gras and eat it too. In moderation. Along side some leafy greens, preferably. Heck, maybe even a glass of red wine. Finally, the "skinny jeans" aspect is about healthfully working to lose the last of the baby weight. That, and my obsession with fashion and all things lovely.
As I go, I hope to share and write about my next Ironman triathlon adventure, life as a mommy with a jogging stroller, recipes, nutritional ideas and of course I hope to be very fashion forward in doing it all.
